15 Feb Update for our hospitality clients
For our hospitality clients…..
The Health Protection Regulations are now in force for hospitality businesses including: pubs, cafes and restaurants etc.
The rule of six must now be enforced and specifically the industry must ensure they:
– don’t take bookings for more than six people
– don’t admit groups of more than six
– can maintain two metres (or one metre where mitigation measures, like screens, are in place); and
– restrict customers from two separate groups mingling on the premises
There are some exceptions in the guidance.
Failure to comply attracts fines of £1000 and up to £4000 for subsequent offences.
The obligations also accompany the legal obligation to collect customer and staff data for track and trace purposes.
