Bookings Open: Face-to-face training for managers & HR managers this June

This June, the employment law experts at BRIDGE are delivering specialist training in York specifically for management teams, directors, and HR managers, covering the essential aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to disciplinary action.

Over the two days of face-to-face training, we’ll provide you with up-to-date legal information, correct procedures, and extensive knowledge, giving you the tools to implement smooth processes and improving your confidence to deal with issues as they arise.

 

The 4 main subjects which we will cover in detail are:

1. The recruitment process

From advertising lawfully and identifying issues to contracting and offering; we take you through the key areas you need to know and the legal pitfalls to avoid.

2. Managing poor performance

We cover the whole legal process, identifying tools and techniques to avoid difficulties and handle poor performing employees both effectively and lawfully.

3. Running disciplinary and grievance processes, including investigations

Detailed guidance on handling issues from start to finish, including suspensions, investigations, hearings, and protected conversations.

4. Managing sickness absence

Learn the correct processes and the key mistakes to avoid.

 

You will have the opportunity to ask our specialist employment law solicitors questions throughout the training and you will be equipped with a range of tools that you can use in your business, including guidance notes, detailed template letters and policies.
